What is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a trauma informed therapy modality that helps clients to process their past or current traumatic memories. Traumatic experiences can leave us feeling stuck and at our wits' end. EMDR therapy can help you to re-align the disharmony between your mind and body that’s a been showing up as irrational thoughts, negative beliefs, and bodily sensations.

EMDR has been proven to take less time than traditional talk therapy, due to its positive effects on the deeper parts of the brain that’s adversely impacted by trauma (limbic system) (brain stem). You don't have to go through life with unprocessed trauma. You can find relief and lasting change with EMDR therapy. Although healing is not linear, it’s definitely attainable and will look different for us all.
